Mr Andrew Mishreki
Mr Andrew Mishreki is a highly experienced Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon.
​
He has a busy NHS practice, focusing on colorectal cancer surgery, primarily at University Hospital North Durham, where he also sits as Trust Cancer Lead for County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust. In his private practice he sits on the Medical Advisory Council at Spire Hospital Washington.
With a wealth of knowledge, expertise and dedication, Mr Mishreki is committed to providing a patient-centered approach and a personalised experience for all of his patients.

In Mr Mishreki's private practice he treats both insured and self pay patients, working with all of the major insurance providers on a fee-assured basis. He is a Bupa Platinum consultant, and is recognised within Bupa's Open Referral network.

In addition Mr Mishreki provides Expert Witness medicolegal opinions.

Endoscopy
Mr Mishreki provides the full range of endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy.

These procedures can be both diagnostic and therapeutic.
Haemorrhoids
Mr Mishreki provides a variety of treatment options for problematic haemorrhoids.

This covers both office based procedures and surgical management. Mr Mishreki will discuss all options in detail.
Hernia Repair
Mr Mishreki specialises in the full remit of hernia surgery.
This includes inguinal (groin) hernias, umbilical/para-umbilical (belly button) hernias, femoral hernias and incisional hernias.
Mr Mishreki also specialises in much bigger procedures for very large, recurrent, incisional hernias requiring an abdominal wall reconstruction, and more rare types of hernias including spighelian hernias.
All can be repaired in a minimally invasive or open fashion.
Anal Fistula
Mr Mishreki is very experienced at diagnosing and managing anal fistulae.

The management of these depends on the precise nature of the anal fistula, and there are a variety of surgical options.
Gallbladder Surgery
Mr Mishreki offers surgical management for gallstone disease, in the form of a laparoscopic cholecystectomy (key-hole removal of the gallbladder).
Anal Fissure
Mr Mishreki treats anal fissures with both medical and surgical options, and will discuss the most appropriate option for you depending on your situation.
