Endoscopy
Mr Mishreki has a high volume endoscopic practice. He specialises in both upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures, both diagnostic and therapeutic.
These procedures include gastroscopy (camera going down the food-pipe into the stomach and first part of the small bowel), and both flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy procedures (camera going in the back passage and around the large bowel).
During these procedures, which are provided in an endoscopy room, you can have inhaled gas and air, or intravenous sedation, to relax you, should you wish. Any areas of concern within the bowel lining can be biopsied for further analysis, whilst any small polyps or other lesions can be removed as appropriate.
If you have any alteration to your bowel habit, rectal bleeding, abdominal pain, dietary intolerances, abdominal bloating, change in appetite or weight, please get in touch to discuss what can be done to further investigate these symptoms.
