Hernia Repair

Mr Mishreki has a large volume hernia practice. His day to day hernia surgery covers inguinal (groin), femoral (low groin), umbilical and para-umbilical (belly button), epigastric (upper abdomen), ventral (anterior abdominal wall), incisional (through a previous surgical incision), para-stomal (adjacent to a stoma), spigelian (at the side of the main abdominal wall muscles), pelvic (obturator and perineal - at the pelvic floor) and lumbar (flank) herniae. All can be approached either in a minimally invasive laparoscopic (key-hole) fashion, or open. Mr Mishreki also carries out much larger abdominal wall reconstructive surgery.

Mr Mishreki will discuss with you the optimal surgical options for you, based on your surgical history, the nature of your hernia, and the current evidence base from the international literature. He will explain what is involved with your hernia repair, and will detail out the post-surgical recovery period.
